Today is one of my favorite days of the year. It’s time to announce the annual Tiger Drive Scholarship recipient, which was inspired by my novel, Tiger Drive. This is the eighth year I’ve been able to grant this pay-it-forward scholarship, and I do it with tears of happiness each time.

Since 2014, the trusted Tiger Drive Scholarship Committee has helped select over 15 recipients. And thanks to each person who has purchased one of my novels and the kind and supportive donations from friends and family, more than fifteen young people have taken the first step toward the future of their choosing. To each of you and each young person who dares to reach, learn, and grow beyond their familiar environment, thank you for being you.
