I’m super thrilled to announce that In the Doghouse has won the National Indie Excellence Award in fiction. This is a big deal for me because last year, Tiger Drive was a finalist. Dear Friends,

One of the hardest things to do is choose a title for a book. There are many things to consider, but here are two of the most important:

  • Does it convey, aka “sell”,  the story and genre? A buyer only spends 2 seconds on a title and book cover (2!!!) before deciding if he/she will read the book description.

New in Books Humorous Fiction: In the Doghouse

New in Books Recognizes In the Doghouse

Bow wow! If I had a tail, I’d wag it, but I don’t so instead, I’m smiling beatifically.

New in Books has recognized In the Doghouse as a “book to read if you like humorous fiction.” Yahoo!

And IMHO, NIB is right. Need a laugh, Skip is just the wise and hysterical dog you need.

Happy reading. Let me know what you think, and please consider posting a review on Goodreads, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Social Media, etc. Your opinion will help others decide if this book is right for their precious time and money.

Thanks for being you,

Teri

Announcing the 2019 Tiger Drive Scholarship Recipients of Carson High School

Tiger Drive Scholarship

Dear Friends,

I am thrilled to announce the 2019 Tiger Drive Scholarship Recipients from Carson High School. This year’s scholarship is in fun-loving memory of John Langdon Lane and recognizes students who are reaching, learning, and growing beyond their familiar environment.

The scholarship is funded by a portion of the proceeds of my novels, Tiger Drive and In the Doghouse: A Couple’s Breakup from Their Dog’s Point of View. Some incredibly kind individuals also donated to the scholarship, of which, one of them will be gifted with a signed copy of Women Warriors: An Unexpected History by Pamela D. Toler. Pamela, thank you for this excellent work of history and for your support!

And judges–thank you for reading each essay with such care and intention.

The winners are . . .
